February 2024 - A Celebration of Love
Greetings in the loving Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! This month is the month we celebrate love! I hope you had a happy Valentines Day!
The greatest love of all is described in the famous verses of 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, and in verse 13 we read, “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
I just returned from a trip to the Middle East, visiting Israel, Palestine, Jordan, and Egypt. The main purpose of the trip was to pray for God’s intervention and for the war to stop. We organized a prayer gathering with many pastors and believers in Bethlehem, Palestine. There is a cloud of sadness and oppression. My heart goes out to the Palestinian people, especially those in Gaza who have suffered so much.
The points of prayer were:
- Collective repentance
- Intercessory prayers
- The need for spiritual revival and God’s visitation
- To see a breakthrough on a national level
- To see the Jews and Palestinians humble themselves and accept Jesus.
Likewise, in Jordan we gathered the churches to pray, and it was a great time to show unity and love. Then in Egypt we had the prayer gathering in Alexandria and I was invited to speak in several churches in these regions. There were hundred of people who accepted the Lord! Even one soul coming to Christ makes the long and tiring trip worthwhile! People always look at the dark picture, but God looks to the human heart. His love is wonderful and never fails!
What always amazes me is the amount of impact and influence that Light For All Nations has had in these countries! Our labor for forty years has certainly not been in vain! I have heard thousands of testimonies throughout the years, all kinds of testimonies for the glory of God!
It is thrilling to see people with whom I have shared the Gospel, in turn share the Gospel with others. On this trip I met up with a man originally from a Gulf country that I led to the Lord and learned that he is now following up with 15 people from his home country on a regular basis to see them grow in the Lord.
We hear reports about Jesus appearing to Palestinian Muslims and about their coming to faith. In Israel I met an Arab Christian lady who works at a guest house where they bring Israeli soldiers, and she has been called to “mother” them – to serve and take care of them and God has given her many opportunities to share the Gospel. Now that is love!
Last month we mailed out the 2023 income tax receipts for your charitable giving to the ministry. We sent them through the post office so to get it we require your complete and current address or in special circumstances it can be emailed. May the Lord bless you!
