September 2021 - Amazing Blessings!
Grace and peace to you in the wonderful Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
It is back to school time! Many of us are praying much for our kids and grandkids. May the Lord protect them from harm, danger and evil. They are facing all kinds of challenges; challenges that we never had to face. Let us trust God for His promises: “… ‘My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,’ says the Lord, ‘from this time and forevermore.’ “ (Isaiah 59:21). Keep on speaking the truth to our children and children’s children and we can trust God for their salvation.
I recently returned from a great ministry trip to Egypt! It was very productive! Light For all Nations, along with a sister ministry, networked together on a conference in Assiut to train young leaders and to equip them to train others. I spoke in several churches and we had revival meetings. The high light of the trip was that many people came to the Lord and many came for healing prayer, including about 200 Muslims. I prayed for many precious, veiled Muslim women who believe that Jesus is the healer. May they all come to know that Jesus is not only their healer, but He is firstly their Saviour.
We networked with a media production team in Egypt and I worked on many productions for TV and a Social Media campaign. It was a successful time and I thank God for helping us overcome obstacles. Most of the meetings were televised live and after one such live program done in Upper Egypt, I was leaving the building, when I heard someone calling my name. He told me he had an important message for me that came from his friend on his death bed. He told me how this medical doctor had been terrible with his wife and family, treating them very badly, but he fell ill and when he was home he started watching my programs and he was saved! He became a totally different person and his behaviour changed, showing how much he loved his wife and family. As he was on his death bed he asked his friend that if he ever saw me, he was to convey this message to me: “Thank you for I became a believer.” How precious is the soul!
When I returned to Canada, the blessings of God continued! This past weekend I prayed for a young lady who comes from a prominent Muslim political family and she invited Jesus in her heart! She needs our prayers for she is in a very tough position now with her family.
I am sorry to tell you that although we tried to plan a fund-raising banquet, we will not be having it again this year. There are still too many Covid concerns. Ellen and I are really missing getting together in person with so many of our dear supporters, but please prayerfully consider supporting Light For All Nations this Fall, which is the time of year that we typically have our greatest fund raising effort. Please support the ministry in the best way you are able. Proverbs 3:9, 10 reads: “Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.” In this same chapter of the Bible is one of my favourite verses (verse 5) that exhorts us to trust in the Lord. Even in tough times God can provide and bring blessings.
I pray you will experience today God’s love, peace, protection and blessings and may we all grow closer to our wonderful Saviour.
