+ God revealed to Paul to go to Philippi through a vision. Three events took place in this city and changed its history: Philip of Macedon came to this city, unified the surrounding countries and his son, Alexander the Great, spread the Hellenistic culture all over the world. The second event was when Philippi became Roman territory but the greatest event was Paul's visit to Philippi with the Gospel.
